Publish Approved Content to Your Company Website

Availability and responsibility

For the client blog, Xtrusio supports two publishing routes: automatic upload of approved articles through a configured client CMS integration, or manual upload by the delivery team. The available route depends on the client's integration and agreed access. Approval is required; approval alone does not mean the article is live.

Publishing is complete when the approved article is visible at the intended URL and its essential elements work. A successful upload or a Published label in a planning tool is only part of that check.

Prepare the release

Identify the approved version, destination, title, URL, images and any existing embeds to preserve. For an article refresh, keep the established URL unless a separate URL change is approved.

The content team's CMS access should be sufficient for the agreed task without exposing credentials in the article or evidence pack.

Publish and verify

1. Prepare a CMS draft from the approved content.
2. Check headings, links, image captions, alt text and downloads in preview.
3. Verify any video remains embedded as intended.
4. Obtain the required publication approval.
5. Publish the approved article through the configured CMS integration or have the team upload it manually.
6. Open the public page and check it independently.
7. Record the final URL against the correct question and plan item.

Example

A refresh can accidentally drop a useful embedded video or change the slug. The text may be better while the page becomes less useful or loses established links. Include preservation checks in the release, not only proofreading.

If the live page differs from preview

Check the saved version, publication state and caching behavior with the site operator. Do not repeatedly publish different copies or create a second article to work around an unresolved state.

Third-party and guest-post publishing follows a different route: Xtrusio's journalist team contacts publishers and arranges placement of the approved article. A client CMS integration does not publish directly to those external websites.

Finish by verifying the public URL, not by relying on the last button clicked.

Configured CMS and recovery

Payload is an implemented publishing route in the shared platform, with authorized staff triggering publication of eligible approved content. Other CMS requirements can be implemented within the client's agreed scope; this does not mean every CMS adapter is already connected.

The publishing workflow records server-side progress and can resume an active import. It can reconcile a lost response against the CMS, and a failed publication can leave a recoverable draft. Check that draft and the destination before creating another copy.
