Xtrusio vs Meteoria AI: Tracking Your AI Visibility, or Getting the Page Cited on Each Buyer Question
Short answer
Meteoria AI is a French generative engine optimization (GEO) tool that asks AI engines a set of prompts every day and reports how often your brand appears, where it ranks against competitors, the tone of each answer and the sources the answers draw on. If what matters is whether AI engines cite your page on a buyer's question, Xtrusio is the pick. It covers seven engines instead of a choice of three, builds each piece from the searches those engines run, writes it and gets it onto sites they already quote, and treats it as a win only once an engine cites that exact page for its question.

Meteoria tells you where you stand in AI answers. Xtrusio changes where you stand.

Plan | Builds a plan for each buyer question out of the engines' own searches and the sites they quoted, naming a channel per piece; a strategist approves it with you | Prompts sorted by persona, product, region or theme, with a checklist of source types and content habits to work on |
Write | Writing is live today: Citation-Grade Content with links checked before approval, plus LinkedIn, YouTube, Medium and press versions of every article | "AI-friendly content" is listed on Pro and higher plans; the content page marks content creation as available soon |
Place | Xtrusio's team lands guest posts on some 2,000 publisher websites, pitches press through a journalist team, and publishes to your blog where connected | Shows which sources the engines read and suggests where to be mentioned; no placement service is listed on its pricing |
Verify | Credits a placement only after a later scan shows an engine citing its live URL on the question it was written for | Tracks the visibility rate and the share of answers that use your own content as a source; Google Analytics shows visitors from each AI engine |
Price | Free self-serve plan; managed service with a free trial, then tiered plans (details on request) | Starter €75, Pro €175 and Advanced €420 a month; a custom top tier; 7-day free trial |

What is Meteoria AI?
Meteoria calls itself "the best GEO tool to master your AI visibility". Its legal notice places the company, Meteoria SAS, in Saint-Mandé, France, and its vision page describes an independent product designed in France. Idriss Khouader is CEO and one of four co-founders listed on its team page.
The product is built around three steps:
- Measure. You write prompts for your sector, products, personas and locations, tag them, or import them from a CSV or Excel file. Meteoria asks them every day and records whether your brand appears, its position, the sentiment and the sources cited. A Google Analytics link shows visitors arriving from each AI engine.
- Compare. Visibility rate, average position, mentions in the sources the AI uses, and how often it uses your own content as a source, for you and each competitor.
- Optimize. A list of source types to target, from media to review sites, and a checklist of content habits such as clear headings and explicit FAQs.
Meteoria AI pricing
On the pricing section of meteoria.ai on October 10, 2026:
- Starter, €75 a month: 25 daily prompts, Google Analytics and Matomo.
- Pro, €175 a month: 100 daily prompts, plus AI-friendly content (our translation of "contenus IA-friendly").
- Advanced, €420 a month: 300 daily prompts, plus a risk report, AI log analysis and Looker Studio.
- Top tier, custom: the English page lists "Businesses & Agencies" from €300 a month with more than 200 daily prompts; the French page lists "Enterprise" from €700 a month with 500 or more daily prompts. Reddit is listed on this tier only.
Every plan includes unlimited seats, projects and brands, and runs on 3 engines chosen from the seven in the table; other engines cost extra. Claude is not on that list; Meteoria's FAQ says Claude and Meta AI are being added gradually. Annual billing gives 2 months free (translated from a French note), and the FAQ offers a one-week free trial.
What the pages about Meteoria leave out
Search "Meteoria AI" and you find Meteoria's own site, a writing tool's head-to-head and company profiles. The head-to-heads AI engines cite argue about engine counts and prompt limits. Three questions that decide whether the spend pays off are missing.
1. Three engines, or the ones your buyers use? Each Meteoria plan covers 3 engines out of 7. If your buyers split between ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI answers, you choose which ones to leave out, or pay for more.
2. Who wins the pages the engines quote? Meteoria's Optimize page says you have to be present where the AI reads, and names the places: media, blogs, review sites, forums. Someone still has to write the guest post, land the press mention and get the page live.
3. Did the page you published get cited? A higher visibility rate means engines name you more. It won't show which URL earned that, or whether the article you placed last quarter is now the source for the question it targeted.
Xtrusio: seven engines, and the work after the report
Xtrusio is our product, and this is where it picks up from a tracking tool.
No engines to leave out. Xtrusio puts each buyer question to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode together, Claude included, so there is no shortlist of three to pick. Reports cover visibility, share of voice, sentiment, average position and citations, by engine, by topic and by buyer persona.
What the engine typed. In Xtrusio's checks, ChatGPT and Claude search the web on every answer; Gemini and Grok decide when to search. Xtrusio drafts the content plan from the searches the AI engines actually run. For ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok, Xtrusio stores the search queries themselves, so a prompt report turns into a list of the phrases that sent the engine to someone else's page.
From queries to a plan. Meteoria's Optimize page offers a checklist of habits. Xtrusio drafts a plan per question, built from those queries and the sites already being quoted, with a channel for each piece: Reddit, your blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, Medium, guest posts or PR. You and a strategist approve it before a word is written.
Writing that ships now. Where Meteoria marks content creation as coming soon, Xtrusio writes today. Xtrusio coined the term Citation-Grade Content for pages that answer the question fully on the first pass, so the buyer has no reason to ask again. Pieces clear 78 checks in seven families, and independent AI judges set each draft beside the pages engines cite today to see which one they would quote.
Being present where the AI reads. Meteoria names the places to be seen: media, blogs, review sites, forums. Xtrusio's team gets you there, with guest posts on a network of about 2,000 publisher websites and a journalist team answering press requests on Connectively, Featured, HARO and SourceBottle. Link Strategy follows every one of those placements, and each published piece, to its live URL.
A check on the page itself. Every piece is pinned to its target question. Only when a later scan shows an engine answering that question with that exact URL is it marked verified, and what the scan finds sets the next plan.
Start on the free self-serve plan and run it in-house, or let our team take it on as a managed service.
Where Meteoria fits
A GEO tracking tool such as Meteoria covers a different job: a daily read of how a fixed set of prompts performs on the engines you choose, with sentiment, sources, competitor benchmarks and Google Analytics traffic from AI engines.
If your team is judged on the page Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity cites for a buyer question in your category, Xtrusio is the tool for that. More options are in our roundup of Meteoria AI alternatives.
How to test a GEO tool before you pay
Take any tool through these steps:
- Choose 10 questions your buyers ask about your category, in their own words.
- Ask for full answers and cited pages on every engine your buyers use, not only the 3 a plan includes.
- Ask who writes the page meant to be cited, and where it goes live: your site, a publisher, or the press.
- Ask how, for each question, you will later see the engine cite that exact page.
Meteoria AI answers the first. It covers the second only in part, with 3 engines rather than every engine, and the fourth in part, through the share of answers that use your own content. Xtrusio is built to answer all four.

Check what Xtrusio's service plan includes and test it on your own questions across all seven engines.
Frequently asked questions
What is Meteoria AI?
A French GEO tool that runs your prompts on AI engines every day and reports your visibility rate, average position, sentiment and sources, against your competitors.
How much does Meteoria AI cost?
Starter €75, Pro €175 and Advanced €420 a month (25, 100 and 300 daily prompts on 3 engines), a custom top tier and a 7-day free trial. On Xtrusio's side: Free self-serve plan; managed service with a free trial, then tiered plans (details on request).
Which AI engines does Meteoria AI track?
Each plan covers 3 engines chosen from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Grok, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot; others cost extra. Claude is not on the list. Xtrusio runs on all seven of its engines at once: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode.
Is Xtrusio a Meteoria AI alternative?
Yes, when tracking is not enough and you need to be cited. Xtrusio watches the same buyer questions on seven engines, then writes and places what each one needs, and a piece counts only once an engine cites that exact page.
Can any tool guarantee an AI citation?
No. Each engine picks its own sources. Tracking shows where you stand; what moves it is a better page on the right site, followed by a check on every engine you care about.
